Stephen has lived in the neighborhoods of Council District 3 for nearly two decades, and he’s been involved in our community the entire time.
His longtime service to San Diego extends to both his professional life and volunteer work, drawing upon his background in strategic planning and organizational management.
Stephen’s volunteer work has included serving on advisory panels for the City and County of San Diego, the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation Board of Directors, the Greater San Diego Business Association Advocacy Committee, and as Vice Chair of the North Park Planning Committee.
An award-winning nonprofit leader, Stephen has helped sick and injured San Diegans at the American Red Cross and worked to advance equality for the LGBT community. Today, he heads a staff of 20 who coordinate charitable efforts for cancer patients and their families across Southern California.
Stephen is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He earned his Leadership Certificate from the Center for Executive Development at UC San Diego’s Rady School of Management. Stephen is also proficient in Spanish.
