San Diego Pride is Back!!!
Volunteer for our Pride weekend cleanup!! July 15 through 18
After a two year hiatus, the San Diego Pride Festival is returning to Balboa Park, along with the opportunity for the Bankers Hill Community Group to replenish our treasury. This Pride Festival weekend volunteer cleanup has been our very successful annual fundraising event for several years.
The 2022 San Diego Pride Festival volunteer cleanup effort runs from the evening of Friday, July 15 through Monday morning, July 18. Our partners at San Diego Pride will donate $15 per volunteer hour; 100 volunteer hours will earn the BHCG $1,500!
And…thanks to the generosity of our friends at Pride…each volunteer who signs up earns a FREE admission ticket to the festival!
Here are our volunteer needs…pick one that suits you.
— Friday, July 15: Assemble and distribute cardboard trash & recycle boxes and box liner bags throughout Bankers Hill (maps with pre-determined locations will be provided).
— Friday evening July 15 through Monday morning July 18: Walk Bankers Hill streets to pick up Festival litter. Volunteers provide their own trash bags, gloves and trash “grabbers. Full bags are deposited in the designated festival trash boxes, City trash receptacles and dumpsters at volunteers’ residences or businesses.
It’s easy…simply pick up litter on one of the main Bankers Hill (Sixth, Fifth, Fourth) or the block around your home.
It’s simple…put the sparkle back on the streets of Bankers Hill.
— Monday morning July 18: Pick up trash & recycle boxes in Bankers Hill. Help with this effort requires a truck or SUV that can accommodate the boxes.
